Cheldrop Docs
Cheldrop turns a folder on your Mac into a website on your own domain, in your own Cloudflare account. Nothing is hosted by Cheldrop.
This site is its own proof. Every page below is a Markdown file in
~/Documents/Cheldrops/docs.cheldrop.com/. There is no build step, no
generator and no deploy command — the sidebar, the wrappers and this page's
styling are what Cheldrop makes of a folder of .md files with
toc: sidebar set in cheldrop.yaml. Save a file, and about five seconds
later it is live here.
The sidebar on the left is the organised view; the site map is Cheldrop's own generated index of every file in the folder.
How Cheldrop works
- functional-spec — how the app is expected to behave, end to end. The reference that keeps changes from breaking things.
- mcp-server — the local MCP server that lets Claude publish and reconfigure sites on your behalf.
- claude-skill — the skill that teaches Claude when to reach for the folder and when to reach for a tool.
Plans and progress
- build-plan — the phase-by-phase roadmap from a verified Mac build to launch.
- polish-plan — the correctness and polish work found by using the thing.
- code-review — a full-app review from 18 August 2026. All thirteen findings fixed.
Working on Cheldrop
- coding-rules — the standing rules a Claude Code session in this repo has to follow.
These are the project's working documents, published as written. They describe Cheldrop as it is being built, so they date and disagree with each other in places; where they do, the functional spec wins.
